The Wayne Memorial Boys Cross Country Team competed at The Warrior Classic Invitation hosted by Brownstown Woodhaven High School on Friday, September 6 at Lake Erie Metro Park.  5 boys posted overall Personal Records (PRs) and 1 additional course PR was set. The team placed 10th out of 17 teams with 247 points. The course had to be modified due to flooding and construction making it a bit slower than in the past, but the weather was almost perfect for running.

2 boys medaled with junior, Michael Rivera placing 17th with a time of 18:26.1 and junior, Ke’Waun Stone placed 28th with a time of 18:50.9.   Other boys contributing to the scoring was sophomore, Nico Figueroa finishing in 38th place with an overall PR time of 19:20.6, senior, Juan Rivera in 20:44.1 good for 85th place, and Stephen Hansen - with an overall PR time of 21:18.4  finishing in 96th.

Other boys competing were junior, Collin Powers in 21:34.3,  sophomore, Brendan Winters with an overall PR of 22:40.3. sophomore Owen Westfall setting a new overall PR of 22:54.4. senior, Luis Rivera  in 23:35.4, sophomore, Aaron Hill in 24:52.2, and Running in his inaugural cross country race, Danny Arrellano  with a time of 31:56.3.
