Leading up to the Cross Country dual meet against Livonia Franklin on Tuesday, September 10, the Wayne Memorial coaches challenged the team to run outside their comfort zone and push themselves to run with others that had better PRs than they did. We are very proud of the team's performance. Despite losing to Livonia Franklin 17-44, most were successful, with 1 running an overall PR and 4 running course PRs (3 being within 15 seconds of their overall PR).

Junior, Michael Rivera lead the Zebras for the 3 straight race with a 4th place finish in a course PR time of 18:30.8.  Junior, Ke'Waun Stone and sophomore Nico Figueroa continue to improve by running a course PRs of 19:01.5 and 20:26.4 good for 7th and 10th place respectively.  Also factoring into the scoring for the Wayne Memorial was senior, Juan Rivera finishing in 13th place with a 21:13.9, junior, Collin Powers in 22:03.3, sophomore, Brendan Winters with a course PR of 22:53.9 and running his inaugural XC race, freshman, Rene Vasquez in 23:51.2.  The only other finisher for the Zebras was junior, Stephen Hansen with an overall PR time of 24:14.8.
